As it used to be in the olden days, the ottoman has become an essential part of the furniture. With the changing trends it has regained popularity. But unlike the old traditional ottoman, these days they come in different varieties and with trendy looks.

Uses of Ottoman footstools and their various types
  •  There are a wide range of wooden ottoman footstools found in the market. They are plain, polished or laminated. Some have intricate carvings too. These are usually placed indoors, either in the living room or bedroom. These are sometimes also placed in the corridors and used as sit outs.
  • Then again we have the light weight ottomans which are made of some metal and then powder coated or painted. These are usually placed in the gardens or verandas and terrace.Again it can make a good sit out with a cushion placed on them or can be used to place a decorative item or a pot or potted plant.
  • The most popular is the black ottoman which sports a trendy look and just fits anywhere.
  • Some ottoman serve dual purpose, they have storage within. That can be used to store books and magazines with a cover on top.
  • The latest in the market are the ottoman trays. These come in a wide range of shapes and sizes. They could be with or without handles. They can be used as normal trays or just placed in a corner or at a side with some colourful pebbles or a decorative item on it.
